I am so appreciative of all Di has taught me about managing and enjoying my computer.
Two years ago, after I had suffered a second stroke which left me partially sighted, I was advised to join the Andover VIPs (Visually Impaired People) group. Last year the National Lottery gave a donation to the association to help members of VIPs use a computer, and Di became a volunteer teaching those of us who wished to attempt the challenge.
Di is brilliant in her kindness and ability to make one see the advantages of all the modern technology. Her knowledge is incredible and what she has shown me has opened a whole new world for me, which I thought was only available to the younger generation.
I had my 90th birthday in February 2013 and with my disability Di has given me such confidence. I am now able to do my shopping on line, I can now e-mail my family and friends, I have many photos on my computer of my Great Grandchildren; and enjoy watching them grow, something I would miss as they live away from where I am. I can use iTunes and YouTube and am currently typing up my own Autobiography using Word. I play Scrabble on-line too, which I thoroughly enjoy.
There are so many things which I am now able to do on the computer and, living alone it has become an open door to the world for me.
Di's empathy and concern in all she does for her pupils became very significant when she first came to me. I had been attempting to work a laptop computer but was almost giving up, when I met Di. She could immediately see the problem. She felt the screen was too small for me so she took me to buy the right one and since that day all has been well.
For anyone who is in difficulty or wishes to improve their ability and confidence on the computer, she will solve your worries for you. She has become a great support and friend to me.

I am very happy and delighted to recommend Di's services. I had no confidence when I first met Di; although I knew that most of my friends were computer literate. So when I was told about Andover's Computer Tutor, I felt Di was a God-send; she got me started!
I am now able to keep in touch with many friends via e-mail, in England and also in Italy, where I used to live so, I feel as if I have caught up!
I also use my computer for research. Wikipedia is a Pandora's Box.
I am so pleased with the help Di has given me and she’s just at the end of a phone line, for whenever I have any computer worries.

I had been pondering for months about getting a wi-fi laptop to replace my old computer which was taking up a lot of space and was outdated when I was recommended to contact Di (Computer Tutor). My biggest problem was that I really did not understand much of the technology and certainly could not understand 'computer speak'.
I need not have worried as from the moment we met it was apparent that Di spoke my language.
I had made a list of the things I wanted to do on the new computer and after a few questions from Di she seemed to know exactly how to help.
After just one hour I was confident enough to go out and buy my laptop, bring it home and actually start using it.
It was great to find someone who was patient and understanding and, more importantly, helped me to understand too.
I am going to have further sessions with Di so that I can now make the most of my new technology.
